Briggs Environmental Lab offers environmental training, services, and educational eco-opportunities for students of all ages.

Course Instructor Stephanie Briggs has worked in the environmental regulatory area for over 30 years, with state government and in the private sector. She specializes in wetland identification and delineation, the review and permitting of coastal development, environmental resource assessment, mitigation of wetland impacts, and environmental education.

Stephanie received her B.S. degree in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and her Master's in Natural Resources Administration and Hydrology from North Carolina State University. She has worked extensively in marine and estuarine wetland communities in the coastal areas of the southeastern United States, as well as in freshwater wetland communities in coastal, piedmont and mountain areas.
